Personal Training & Exercise Therapy
Exercise is absolutely necessary in order to remain in good health. You will never find a diet pill, vitamin, herb, juice, or food that can take the place of exercise. However, most people just don't know where to start. If done the right way, exercise doesn't have to take a long time and it's really not as difficult as you may have imagined.
As a chiropractic physician, I enjoy helping patients get out of pain, but I derive the most pleasure by helping patients find better health. I have decided to devote part of my practice time to help others work on their diets, learn how to exercise the right way, and to get on the path to better health. In my experience with patients, I have found that many people, including my own parents, have major misconceptions concerning diet, vitamins, prescription medications, herbs, exercise and what it really means to be healthy.
Professional Guidance
A custom plan will be tailored for your individual situation by Dr. Christopher May. The primary plan elements are listed below.
1. Discovery: The first step is to determine what you know and don't know concerning nutrition, proper eating habits, and exercise. Any physical or psychological limitations concerning food or exercise may also be discussed. These may include food allergies, physical disability, diabetes, high blood pressure, psychological fears, etc.
2. Education: The main intent of the program is to help you learn the most efficent methods to improve your diet, learn how to exercise the proper way while minimizing workout time, and to develop the best mental outlook to overcome psychological hurdles that present themselves daily such as hunger, lack of time issues, fear of pain from exercise, and other fears that can inadvertently prevent you from becoming healthy.
3. Plan: One of the most important aspects of making a change is to be clear about what is to be accomplished. A written plan including a schedule will help to maintain focus and provide an additional incentive to continue when goals are reached and are "checked off".
4. Supervised & Guided Efficient Exercise: Dr. Christopher May, will personally supervise and direct your training.
