Health Savings Accounts or Employer Flexible Spending Accounts Accepted

A health savings account (HSA), is a tax-advantaged medical savings account available to taxpayers in the United States who are enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). The funds contributed to the account are not subject to federal income tax at the time of deposit. Unlike a flexible spending account (FSA), funds roll over and accumulate year over year if not spent. HSAs are owned by the individual, which differentiates them from the company-owned Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) that is an alternate tax-deductible source of funds paired with HDHPs. Funds may be used to pay for qualified medical expenses at any time without federal tax liability.

Available Chiropractic Spinal Adjusting Techniques

Diversified (Manual Adjusting) - This is Dr. May's preferred adjusting technique. This technique physically mobilizes and moves the joint to restore lost motion. In this technique, you may hear an audible click which is simply pressure release from the spinal joint. In most cases you will not feel pain, but instead will feel immediate relief as proper motion is restored to the joint.

Flexion / Distraction Technique - This is a manual therapy technique that is usually applied to the lumbar spinal region to gently stretch the lumbar joints in flexion, extension, and lateral flexion in order to restore proper motion to the spinal joints. This technique is applied often when symptoms include numbness, tingling, or soreness down the buttocks or legs and when there is excessive soft tissue stiffness and loss of motion. This technique can also help to rehabilitate degenerated disks.

Activator Technique - Available upon request. This technique is an extremely gentle adjusting technique that some patients prefer. In my experience, this technique can be effective but generally requires many more visits to be as effective as the above two techniques.

Extremity Adjusting

Extremity adjusting is available for ribs (rib joint at sternum), wrist (can be helpful in carpal tunnel cases), and the ankle joint.
